Privacy
What this site measures
No accounts, no forms, no cookies set by this site, and no server of its own. The site counts visits and a few link clicks so I can tell which work people find useful. That is all.
Page views
Visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which is built into production pages only. For each page view Vercel records the page path, the referring site's domain, the country, the browser, the operating system, the device type, any campaign (UTM) tags in the link, and an anonymous visitor identifier. It does not use cookies. See Vercel's Web Analytics privacy policy.
Click events
When you follow one of the links below, the site sends an event name and, at most, one short non-personal value. It never sends an email address, a search or query string, anything you type, or anything you do inside an application.
| Event | When | Extra value |
|---|---|---|
app_launch | Opening one of the five working applications | app: which application |
case_study_open | Opening a case study | system: which system |
engineering_open | Opening the engineering pages | path: the page path |
resume_open | Opening the resume page | none |
resume_download | Downloading the resume PDF | none |
github_click | Following a link to GitHub | repo: which public repository, if the link is to one |
contact_linkedin | Following a link to LinkedIn | none |
contact_email | Clicking an email link (your mail app opens; nothing is sent by this site) | none |
outbound_click | Following any other external link | host: the other site's domain |
What stays in your browser
The five applications save your changes in your own browser (localStorage or IndexedDB) so a demo survives a reload. Rory remembers whether you hid her. None of that is sent anywhere, and each application has a reset that clears it. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it too.
Contact
Email links open your own mail app. Nothing is collected by the site when you use them.
