# Veldarium Worth: Christopher Azar-Brandes

Canonical page: https://www.veldariumworth.com/
Last updated: 2026-11-01

More than three years in industrial parts, purchasing and supplier coordination for field service, and five working tools built from that work: dispatch, purchasing, freight, production scheduling and bids.

## Who built this

Christopher Azar-Brandes (Procurement · Industrial Operations · Operations Systems), Waterbury, CT. Industrial operations professional with 3+ years in technical parts, purchasing and supplier coordination for field service. Moves parts requests from component identification through quote, purchase, shipment and issue resolution with about 25 vendors. Reads engineering drawings and electrical schematics to catch ordering discrepancies. Builds working software prototypes for procurement, scheduling, dispatch and estimating in SQL, Python and TypeScript.

Each tool runs in the browser on made-up data, and each has a case study with its decision logic, evidence and limitations.

## What this site is, and is not

- Veldarium Worth is a personal portfolio, not a company website or a commercial software product. Nothing is for sale here.
- The five tools are working software prototypes. Each runs entirely in the visitor's browser on synthetic (made-up) data: no accounts, no server, no real companies, parts, loads or customers.
- There are no customers, users under contract, revenue, testimonials or production industrial deployments. None should be inferred.
- Source code: ServiceOPS is public on GitHub (https://github.com/Cabberefwenf/ServiceOPS). The other repositories are private, with public release pending; a code walkthrough is available on request. Checked 2026-11-01.
- Each tool also exists as a standalone app. Those deployments are not public (behind Vercel login, or not deployed), so this site does not link them.
- Test counts are labelled with how they were produced (RE-RUN, OBSERVED, DOC-CLAIMED, UNVERIFIED). Prefer the labelled figure over any rounded summary.

## The five tools

### 01 · ServiceOPS (Service management & operations)

Problem: Turn urgent service demand into an accountable plan for people, parts, and time.

A service operations workspace for triage, technician assignment, parts readiness, SLA review, and auditable decisions.

Strongest capability: Constraint-aware technician assignment that names exactly why a candidate is disqualified.

- Case study: https://www.veldariumworth.com/systems/serviceops/ (Markdown: https://www.veldariumworth.com/systems/serviceops/index.md)
- In-browser workspace: https://www.veldariumworth.com/workspace/serviceops/ (modules: Command center, Work orders, Dispatch, Parts, SLA & exceptions, Scenario Lab)
- Source tests: 36 unit tests passed at main @ 38761de.

### 02 · ProcureOS (Procurement & supply chain)

Problem: Make sourcing decisions with the cost, timing, risk, and approval path visible.

A procurement workbench for shortage analysis, supplier comparison, purchasing controls, and explainable award decisions.

Strongest capability: Shortage maths (safety stock, reorder point, EOQ) plus a seeded Monte Carlo stockout model that ranks sourcing options.

- Case study: https://www.veldariumworth.com/systems/procureos/ (Markdown: https://www.veldariumworth.com/systems/procureos/index.md)
- In-browser workspace: https://www.veldariumworth.com/workspace/procureos/ (modules: Command Center, Decision Workbench, Inventory, Suppliers, RFQs & Quotes, Purchase Orders, Approvals, Audit Trail)
- Source tests: 85 unit tests passed at main @ 094be9a.

### 03 · FreightFlow (Freight, dispatch & logistics)

Problem: Keep freight moving when routes, equipment, timing, and margin pull in different directions.

A dispatch environment for route feasibility, carrier selection, recovery planning, and operational trade-off review.

Strongest capability: Operation Iron Relay: a breakdown-to-recovery exercise using feasibility-gated carrier scoring and Dijkstra routing.

- Case study: https://www.veldariumworth.com/systems/freightflow/ (Markdown: https://www.veldariumworth.com/systems/freightflow/index.md)
- In-browser workspace: https://www.veldariumworth.com/workspace/freightflow/ (modules: Command Center, Shipments, Dispatch Board, Carriers, Route Intelligence, Exceptions, Freight Costs, Recovery Simulator)
- Source tests: 14 unit tests passed at main @ 7a68dcb.

### 04 · ForgePlan (Manufacturing & production planning)

Problem: Recover a production plan when machine capacity and delivery promises collide.

A finite-capacity planning surface for sequencing work, finding bottlenecks, and comparing disruption responses.

Strongest capability: Deterministic scheduling engine with invariant auditing and a ranked factory-recovery comparison after a CNC outage.

- Case study: https://www.veldariumworth.com/systems/forgeplan/ (Markdown: https://www.veldariumworth.com/systems/forgeplan/index.md)
- In-browser workspace: https://www.veldariumworth.com/workspace/forgeplan/ (modules: Command center, Production orders, Routings, Work centers, Schedule, Disruption & recovery)
- Source tests: 280 unit tests passed at main @ dde6e67.

### 05 · EstimateOS (Estimating, pricing & bid leveling)

Problem: Build a defensible price from quantities, costs, risk, and commercial rules.

An estimating workstation for cost composition, markup and margin pricing, revision control, and bid leveling. Drawing takeoff is planned, not built.

Strongest capability: A pricing chain (direct, indirect, contingency, tax, fee) that reproduces to the cent, with frozen revisions and bid leveling.

- Case study: https://www.veldariumworth.com/systems/estimateos/ (Markdown: https://www.veldariumworth.com/systems/estimateos/index.md)
- In-browser workspace: https://www.veldariumworth.com/workspace/estimateos/ (modules: Projects & estimates, Estimate editor, Bid leveling, Pricing summary, Revisions)
- Source tests: 40 unit tests passed at feat/phoenix-milestone-a (no main branch exists) @ 0c1eb46.

Across the five source repositories, 455 unit tests pass, re-run from fresh clones on 2026-11-01 at the commits named on the engineering page (main for four; EstimateOS has no main branch, so its default branch). Install details per repository are there too.

A sixth slot, Pantry Pal (household inventory and use-it-first cooking), is in development. Its demo is unmerged, so it is described, not demonstrated: https://www.veldariumworth.com/systems/pantry-pal/
